Sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with other people doesn’t have to begin with a doctrinal discussion or visit with the missionaries. In fact, Church leaders encourage all Latter-day Saints to invite others “to come and see, come and help, and come and belong” in “normal and natural ways” (Dieter F. Uchtdorf, “God Will Do Something Unimaginable,” Oct. 2020 general conference).
Leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints taught these principles in a recent global broadcast on sharing the gospel that congregations worldwide discussed during fifth Sunday meetings in July.
“We must love, share and invite. [God] will prompt us to share our experience, activities and what we are doing. And He will inspire us to invite others to come and see, to come and help, and to come and belong.” —President M. Russell Ballard
“We must act. We must love, share and invite,” said President M. Russell Ballard, Acting President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, during the broadcast. “He will prompt us to share our experience, activities and what we are doing. And He will inspire us to invite others to come and see, to come and help, and to come and belong.”
