Idaho State advanced to the Big Sky Softball Championship after defeating Sacramento State with a record seven home runs. Freshman Kira Day hit two homers—including a walk-off—to secure their spot in Thursday’s final.
Idaho State defeated Montana 10-1 on May 4 to move into the Big Sky Softball Tournament semifinals. Strong pitching by Marley Goluskin and key offensive plays led by Kira Day and Ava Brown powered their win.
Idaho State University collected seven All-Big Sky softball honors for standout performances in conference play. Marley Goluskin earned Pitcher of the Year while Andrew Rich was named Co-Coach of the Year.
